PIDfest 2026

On October 27–29, 2026, the Natural History Museum in Leiden (Netherlands) will host PIDfest 2026—an international conference dedicated to the development of open science, research infrastructure, and the use of persistent digital identifiers (Persistent Identifiers – PIDs) in the scientific ecosystem. The event will bring together representatives of research institutions, organizations developing scientific infrastructure, and experts in research data management, digital repositories, and increasing the visibility of scientific output.

The conference program focuses on solutions that support a more open, connected, and interoperable science. Participants will discuss, among other topics, the role of digital repositories, research data management, the integration of scientific information, and the use of identifiers such as DOI, ORCID, and ROR in building a coherent knowledge infrastructure. The event will provide an opportunity to exchange experiences, present best practices, and discuss the future of digital services supporting research activities.

PCG Academia will also be present at the conference. Our representative, Małgorzata Paszkowska, International Outreach Manager, will speak at the event, sharing her knowledge and experience in the areas of digital repository development, open science, and solutions supporting research institutions.

For PCG Academia, participating in PIDfest 2026 is another opportunity to actively engage with the international community of experts developing modern research infrastructure and tools that support the effective management of knowledge and digital resources.
